Hi Jamie. I am obsessed by vintage Pyrex as well. It started quite innocently ( i wanted to complete a set of primary color nesting bowls) and first thing i know i dream of Pyrex, every occasion i get i go hunt for some and i even dragged my father into this wonderful madness.

I had the experience for 13 years of being the team chiropractor and trainer for the Hancock North Central Hawks football team that Brett Favre and his brothers palyed for while in highschool and their Dad Irv coached. When Brett went to college there was a poster made when he was being considered for Hiesman Trophy award. When Brett was visiting his highschool during a footbal game I had him sign the poster. As well I have a jersey signed by Brett and several really cool photos of him during my tenure with the highschool team.

Nice article. My daugther is a chef, although not as well traveled.

Together we started a recipe site called TheWeekendChef.com. We took a lot of her recipes, recipes from the family and from the web and created a database with over 340,000 recipes in it. Check it out. http://theweekendchef.com

Indiana Jones is a timeless character and an important part of American movie history. It's only natural that his story be adopted across the mediums. Unlike Harrison Ford, he is immortal, and there's no reason he can't keep appearing in new stories. I don't care who's brandishing the whip, i want more indy! I'm excited about the Young Indiana Jones being released on DVD, that series was great and definitely got cut down in its prime.

I like your blog! check out mine sometime at www.blogforheroes.com

Hey, hope i didn't turn you off to I Am Legend.

it's worth seeing , in my book, at least. You may like it a lot more than I did, depending on age, etc.

Thanks for the visit and the comment!

yeah, the game has changed. thanks mostly to manga, "comics" are more accepted as mainstream literature than ever before.

It's very very hard, tho, still, to convince non-readers how good some of the graphic literature is out there. oh well..........

Interesting list, I've read "Into the Wild", the "World is Flat," and "Seabiscut." I don't know why they would qualify as Men books, they are simply great books or stories.
